This project took
3 months to construct. It uses a Honda CB175 twin cylinder
4 stroke. Rated at 20hp@10,000rpm with a 5 speed close ratio gearbox.
Top speed approx. 82 kph (over 50MPH)
Differences from Trax 2
design:
Engine obviously. Base frame 30 x 2mm instead of 30 x 1.6mm. Front and
rear roll cage made from
RHS 30 x 1.6 mm, cut and shut. Back roll cage where seat belt
attaches extends rearward an extra
100 mm. Main frame 2 mm wall thickness. Steering linkages - single
crank to one side, then connect-
ing link from one side to other.. Seat made from 18G galv with 3" hi
density foam under the bum and
1" regular foam on the back, covered with Vinyl. . Fuel capacity
is now 7.5 L (1.75Gallons)
