Sewing Circle Net Meet The Voice BBQ
The Sewing Circle Net "Meet the Voice BBQ" is set for Sunday 18 March
2012, at Ross.
Full details are available at the Sewing Circle Net
website - http://sewingcircle.org -.
This year will see, along with the famous raffle and
car
boot sale, the addition of an auction of quality equipment. As in
previous
years, all funds raised at the BBQ event will go towards repeater maintenance.
The Sewing Circle Net is looking for suitable items that you are able to
donate
for the auction. If you have any suitable equipment, that you
are able to
donate to the auction, take it to the REAST club rooms on the domain, as
they
have made a collection space available. Alternatively, you can
contact Vince,
VK7VH via -vk7vh at hotmail dot com-.
Just let us know a description of what you have available and we will
put the description, along with a thank you by-line, your name and call
sign, into
our web page. If you are unable to attend the Ross event, we
can arrange for
someone to deliver it to Ross.
We encourage you to make a big effort and consider what equipment you
have that you no longer use, and donate it to the auction. Remember,
every dollar
raised goes towards repeater maintenance around Tasmania. So, have a
look about
the shack and select an item or two that you would be willing
to donate to the auction.
This is your chance to give something back to amateur radio
in Tasmania. Check
out the -sewingcircle.org- website for the list of
items that have been donated
(so far) to the auction. Thank you to all that have
made a donation. What do
you have that you are able to donate?
Make sure you set aside Sunday 18 March 2012 and organise to bring
yourself and
all your family to this great event. It is a fun day and is
an ideal opportunity
for you to catch up or meet new people that you may have only spoken to on air.
This year, the raffle prize will be the latest model FDC dual band
VHF/UHF
hand held 5 watt radio. Your $5.00 enrty fee to the BBQ event
will include 2
free tickets in the raffle. Extra tickets will be available for Just $1.00 each or 3 for $2.00.
The car boot sale is being organised by Ray Smith, VK7VKV. Load up your
vehicle with all those goodies and bring them to the Ross BBQ event.
If
past years are anything to go by, the car boot sale will see many bargains
available and some very brisk trade. Should you require any information,
send Ray an email - vk7vkv at hotmail dot com -.
If you need more information, check out the sewingcircle.org
website, come
up on the nightly Sewing Circle Net, held from 5pm to 6pm
on 3.590MHz or
send an email to -vk7vh at hotmail dot com-.
